Pleasanton based 90 year old couple
“This free HealMeal program was brought to my grandparents’ attention through their primary care doctor. They are both in their 90s.
All their money goes to prescription medicines and rent. There is almost none left over for nutritious food so they end up buying the cheapest food which is not healthy.
This is a home-cooked nutritious meal that is bringing a ray of sunshine in their life.
They rely on me, their grandson, to help with food and groceries each week. But I cannot take the chance of going into their home to cook for them right now. Also they don’t have motor skills so they microwave everything, which is also not healthy.
This one hot meals sustains them for multiple days. I am so grateful to the donors for giving my grandparents a nutritious.
It was easy to get a free meal through the form. Both my grandparents and I are truly grateful to the donors and to HealCircle for making this possible for us.
