Dr. Simon Marshall, BIO

Dr. Simon Marshall is co-owner of Braveheart Health & Fitness, LLC., and a performance psychologist for Nourish Balance Thrive, a functional medicine clinic in Santa Cruz, CA. He specializes in helping individuals and groups improve patterns of thinking, emotion, and behavior so they are better able to take on challenging tasks. Dr. Marshall is a former professor of Behavioral Medicine at the University of California, San Diego and has published over 100 scientific articles on the psychology of health behavior change. He has served as an invited expert to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the American Cancer Society. He is a co-author of the best-selling book, The Brave Athlete – a guide for current and aspiring athletes to manage their mental gremlins.

The biggest challenge in getting healthier is not the knowing gap but the doing gap – people often know what to do but are unable to stick to the plan. But science shows its not lack of will power that creates issues. Dr. Simon shares the blueprint of creating healthier habits and getting out of the cycle of binges and addictions.
