Detox Your Day

What if that healthy organic soup you eat daily for lunch from a plastic container is causing your hypertension or diabetes?

Yes, a recent study demonstrated a link between higher levels of plastic chemicals in urine with cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension in men.

Our body is designed to detox. To filter out through breath (lungs), sweat (skin), bowel movement and bladder (liver + kidneys) all that’s unwanted. What our body is not designed to do is to filter out around 80,000 harsh lab-made chemicals and 2000 new chemicals each year. It’s unprepared for the onslaught from morning till night. It’s also ill-prepared to deal with the mercury in your dental fillings or the flouride in your water. From the chemicals in soap and toothpaste to the pillowcase and pajamas, we are ignorant about the number of chemicals we are bathed in daily. Not to mention the glyphosate laced salads topped with antibiotic and hormone stuffed chicken or fish.

Our body can’t eliminate as fast as we ingest. The outcome? Weight gain, fatigue, brain fog, insomnia, allergies or worst – the onset of disease. Everything from cancer to heart disease, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases is now linked to the onslaught of chemicals we ingest daily.

Sadly this crisis has created another billion-dollar detox industry with pills and potions promising questionable results. Our first response should be to stop ingesting these chemicals.

How to Stop Adding Toxins?

Please see link below to article with scientific studies.

1. Say No to Coffee Lids and More

We now know that plastics release various toxic chemicals including BPA, a known thyroid and endocrine disruptor which impairs not only hormone production but also gene expression.
Stop drinking coffee with the lid on or eating soup out of a plastic container or drinking coconut water from a plastic bottle. Remove lids, switch to glass bottles and just say no to plastic.

2. Say No to Harmful Personal Products

Are you putting on over 500 untested chemicals unwittingly daily? Chemical exposure has been linked to breast cancer, asthma, autism, reproductive problems, and other health issues. Many of these chemicals have never been tested and some are banned in Europe.
Get in the know and only buy Ewg.org approved personal care products.

3. Say No to Dirty Dozen and Conventional Meat, Dairy and Fish

Just watch the movie “What the Health“ if you want the truth about conventional farming and fisheries. Then watch “Secret Ingredients“ to learn the truth about glyphosate and GMOs. Bottom line, you can’t do a juice cleanse and hope that it clears out what you had for lunch. It doesn’t work that way.
If you can’t afford organic, just eat the Clean Fifteen.

4. Say No to Ingesting Bad Water

After the Flint crisis, there’s been an awakening around the reality of toxins in our water. Millions of us are ingesting water laced with lead, arsenic, pharmaceutical drugs and more. These additives cause cancer, disease, and death. You can’t ingest bad water and then detox in a sauna. It doesn’t work that way.
Get a water filter and test your tap water.

Once you stop ingesting poison with both fists, start supporting your body’s detox abilities.

How to Detoxify?

Toxins are stored in fat cells. When they get released during crash diets, they actually create more trauma if your channels are not ready to remove them. So juice cleanse is a nice way to get insulin spikes but certainly not a guaranteed way to eliminate toxins.

Detox is not a once a year “shower” to clean your body. It should be part of your daily routine. In fact, the first step in detoxifying is to stop adding toxins to your body!

Science shows that there are some simple natural ways to support your body’s own rhythm.

How to Detox Daily?

#1. Breathe in Deeper

By breathing deeply we take in more oxygen that cleanses the body, and by exhaling deeply we eliminate more waste both actions have an overall detox effect on the body. Workouts or just more mindful breathing, just breathe more.

#2. More Toilet Visits

Daily bowel movement and clear urine a few times a day is the most critical detox you can do. To ensure this consume enough fiber and drink plenty of clean filtered water.

#3. Celery Juice

In the new book by Andrew…he talks about the fascinating results from drinking 16 oz of celery juice on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Celery is a potent herb that helps get rid of parasites and alkalizes the body while delivering key electrolytes and minerals.

#4. Trampoline and Dry Brushing

Our lymph system is fabulous but it needs help. Dry brushing moves the blood around and jumping on a trampoline drains the lymphatic system. A simple effective and free way to get rid of those pesky stuck toxins.

#5. Sweating

There’s controversy on whether sweating actually eliminates toxins or not but it definitely helps accelerate fresh hydration in the body. The more you sweat the more you drink which helps keep things moving.

#6. Eat Sulfur-Containing Foods

Foods high in sulfur, such as onions, broccoli, and garlic, enhance excretion of heavy metals like cadmium and enhances glutathione which aids the body in detoxification.

#7. Try Out Chlorella

Chlorella is a type of algae that has many nutritional benefits and may enhance the elimination of toxins like heavy metals, according to animal studies.

#8. Flavor Dishes With Cilantro

Cilantro enhances excretion of certain toxins, such as heavy metals like lead, and chemicals, including phthalates and insecticides.

#9. Strengthen Detox Organs

Strengthen Detox Organs with herbs such as Milk Thistle, bring down inflammation with turmeric, get good sleep to aid your body’s natural detox cycle and cut out alcohol to give your liver a break.

#10. Detox With a Practitioner

If you test positive for the heavy stuff or worry that you may be suffering from toxic overload, find a credible practitioner. Don’t try a DIY as you could make things worst.
